|DATE:||19TH MARCH 2020|
The UAE Government has suspended the entry of all its valid visa holders, who are currently out of the country, for a renewable period of two weeks effective 12:00 noon of today Thursday, March 19, due to the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has requested those holding valid UAE visas, and now staying out of the country, to pursue the following procedures:
- Those who are now staying in their countries of origin must contact the UAE diplomatic missions in their respective nations for all necessary support and to streamline their return to the UAE.
- Those who are currently outside the UAE for business considerations must contact their employers here as well as Emirati diplomatic missions in their host countries for all necessary support to facilitate their return to the UAE.
- Those who are now on vacation must contact UAE diplomatic missions in their respective host countries for all necessary support to facilitate their return to the UAE.
Any employee currently outside the country must follow the instructions of ICA and contract the authorities in the country they are currently in.
Please forward the names of employees who hold residency visa’s and is currently outside of UAE to your admin so we may update our system.
URGENT VISA STAMPING NOT AVAILABLE
As of today, the Federal Authority and Citizenship has removed Urgent visa stamping options form the E-channel portal. Clients in Abu-Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain, Fujairah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah can only proceed with normal stampings.
For Dubai the urgent stamping option is still available – but as always this may change as the situation escalates.
The authority said that once the ban is removed, there will be a grace period where the authority will allow people who remained outside to come back in and renew if expired, visas cancelled could be refunded. However, there is nothing updated in the systems at this time.
At this stage there is no other option apart from waiting this out and proceed when possible. There may be more changes and we will update you as they are updated in the systems. Please always be prepared for worse case scenarios and make sure to follow only official process changes and announcements.
We urge everyone to please follow the guidelines for social distancing and practice good hygiene. If anyone traveled within the last week, please practice self-quarantine for at least 14 days.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. If you have any further questions, please contact your admin.
Please feel free to contact us if you still have any queries.
